Sensitive Skin

My youngest son has really bad eczema prone skin condition since birth. And as you know it itches like crazy and you must NEVER scratch otherwise it will spread. So imagine a baby yang ber-rashes yang teramat gatal di hampir seluruh badan. They can't use the normal shower gel, shampoo, ointment etc because it will only further irritate their skin..so in response to a friend of mine who is facing the same problem and anyone who is reading this, here are the three lifesavers that I have used until now. It is a bit pricey as compared to the other normal baby products but it WORKS and it is worth it when you see your child skin is fair and clear and he can sleep soundly (and mummy can get her peace of mind as well!).

I'm currently trying this out, so far it's good, has a light baby scent and cheaper than Bud's Baby (RM18.90) available at Mothercare KK Times Square.
The Ego QV Wash is scent-free and can be used form head-to-toe. Available at most major pharmacies and supermarkets.
I love this one! Buds Baby. It has a lovely natural scent and you only squirt a small amount and it will give a rich lather. I get mine at Little Me kids store (Kompleks Karamunsing and Citimall) RM29.90 \
Oh there's another popular product for children with super sensitive skin, (my baby can't tolerate Eucalyptus Oil or any other ointment normally used to calm insect bites, small cuts etc) This came highly recommended but I haven't tried it yet. It is made of fermented papaya which has a strong remedial benefits and irritant free.

Happy trying to all the mommies out there!

Sis, Celina is having the same problem. We tried so many products but yg paling ngam for her is Mustela products and Cetaphyl body lotion (have not tried the other range of cetaphyl prods tho'), mustela prods is a bit costly but as you said, it gives the parents peace of mind. Thxs for sharing this piece of info though, maybe i shud try other prods as well.

Yasmin also has sensitive, rash prone skin. We haven't been able to pinpoint what is actually triggering it but I'm starting to suspect it might be the pediasure milk. We also used QV wash. And I've tried the papaya ointment, it's rather sticky but I think it is good for cuts, bruise, etc.

Nong..ur mantra should be moisturize moisturize moisturize hahaha..im not sure wats the prods for adults facial..but trylah the bb prods coz im sure its very mild and gv max moisture to bb delicate skin. Ada spclist kasi Aquos cream for the whole body (bb & adt) super moisturizing. Bole dpt d pharmacy. Ada greasy skitlah mebe if used on face.

Jie..Mustela prods susah mau dpt d KK. But thankfully after i switched to these prods Ariff's skin is nt as cengeng as dulu.

Linut..I'm also owez on the edge when it comes to food for Ariff as he is also allergic to some food items that is commonly found in almost everyting we eat. Everyday is trial and error esp when we intro new food to him. He will get nasty rashes, watery nose n eyes n gatal satu muka if kena yg tdk ngam.

Kesian kan our anak.. celina is allergic to pistachio & cashews, and it doesn't help much by living here in the middle east where u easily find these combination in food served. We bought her an epipen in sweden just in case she gets into bad reaction.

Jie..I also have stock of anti-histamine but the specialist only prescribe a tiny bottle each time. Ubat yang sangat terkawal.
