Mummy!!

At the wee hours today I distinctively heard Ariff said MUMMY!! He was waking me up for his milk. I thought mebe I was still groggy so I may have heard wrong but this morning hubby confirmed he heard it too. Hmmm I hope it wasnt' just a fluke hahah.. I'm so over the clouds now..Benjy's first word was Tiger, Nabil's was Daddy. Ariff made my day.

Money Money Money MONEY!

This morning i heard on the radio..MBF Cards giving out cash loans / advance i think, for double the asking price..example: U apply for RM1k they give RM2k, RM2k they give RM4k with 0% interest..What triggered me was that nowadays credit card is so bloody easy to get! In some cases they will offer u the card without having to apply for it, u only need to agree to receive the card and hey presto it will reach u within 2 weeks.
I remember when i first started to work with just RM1,200 salary..so eager to own a credit card but no bank will give..tak layak. But now, kasi free pun I dowan. It's really a trap to those who can't control their spending hahahah I am a very impulsive shopper..Everywhere these banks are looking for people to give hutang..sure it sounds enticing and at the month end, you won't even see ur salary..malar bayar kredit kad sja. Eii jara' suda. I've settled n cancelled 2 cards. And these banks being so smart, will offer u personal loans and their sales pitch is "U can pay off ur credit cards mah" so there u go, tambah lagi hutang. There's this 1 bank called n offered me RM12k in personal loan!! Just imagine how my head was doing the kah-ching sound and doing the maths in my head?? Nokotigog my heart when the lady offered me that?? So surreal. I just threw the papers in the bin. Nowadays many young people go bankrupt just from credit cards. In retrospect, it's not much different than the Ah Longs also la kan, u still get screwed if u can't control ur own finances. Except the banks won't throw paint on ur car.

Akibat mencuri keropok di dapur...

Last last friday I was jolted out of my afternoon nap, Benjy snuck into the kitchen to "curi" keropok uncle dia..his dad warned him already..then suddenly this boy burst out of the kitchen crying and we saw his eyebrow was bleeding out of a tear wound..he ran into the "bucu" of the cupboard. We rushed to the QEH to have his eyebrow stitched..(my heart was thumping like mad already). But Benjy was paranoid and once we arrived he was screaming, refused to go into the emergency ward (phobia from last experience when he was about 1 yr old, where the Dr. had to wrap him in a blanket to keep him still so they can draw his blood for dengue test, but they couldn't find his vein so they had to poke him several times on his hand)..where was I..oh..screaminggggg....after much drama at the entrance, the Penolong Pegawai Perubatan confirmed that he needed to be stitched and then asked us to wait for the next afternoon shift to take over!! What the !@#* this is an emergency ward and they had us wait for their shift to turn???!!!! Sabar saja.. So after almost 30min of waiting they came and gave us 2 options, traditional stitches or Glustitch (exactly macam gam gajah)..since Benjy's gash was not too deep we opted for the Glustitch but he will have a scar because the glu will not be able to make the top skin close tightly (i don't know how to describelah)..but just imagine Luke Perry's eyebrow.

A Longgg Weekend..

Wanted to go to the islands during the Kaamatan hols..but cuaca tidak mengizinkan. So Fri stayed at home the whole day, Sat evening till late night went to Citimall, then check out 1 Borneo and then had dinner at Upperstar Damai..I love Citimall, perfect for family with small children. I really underestimated that mall initially because I thought that it was so out of the ub of shopping malls in the city but now I think it's a godsend. The Giant there is spascious and orderly, eatery outlets applenty and more important clean n comfy, washroom clean, shopping all in one there. I think the smaller animal ride is so perfect for Nabil yang halus ni..ini compulsory.
1 Borneo will have their soft opening on te 8th June..the GSC cinema is already open and giving out free movie tickets for 5 days. But when we got there, it was crowded with "Pilaks" so no go lah..there was some outlets opened at that time but of course still bz with preparing their shops..1 Borneo will definitely be my haunt in the near future..pokailah ni..there are 4 hotels ie: Best Western, Novotel, Tune and Mercure. The mall are is HUGE!! It's the largest megamall in S.E.A. surpassing Mid-Valley Megamall and the one in Manila.

I love these baju's!!!
OMG I'm gonna max out my card here..dielah
Tasty Food Village..the food court. Btw Sushi King is also opening, my FAV!
(p/s please excuse the pic quality, taken from mobile camera)
Tomorrow Habib Jewels will have their launching and 50% promo. And a waffles shop is looking for employees now (free announcement for my mum's best friend whose bro owns the shop, I hope i get free waffles from him)

After aktiviti menyukat 1 Borneo, we went to Upperstar Damai for dinner..i had their Lamb Chop (sedaaaap, value for money sehingga menjilat jari), hubby had Grilled Chicken (SEDAAAAAP tapi sekeping sja gia), the kids had pizza (oklah)..I had the impression like they are trying to mimick Hard Rock Cafe..minus the live band and loud music..I like..downstairs for non-smokers. And a very thoughtful touch is they provide a PC at the tables along the walls so diners can play games and such..

Tribute to mothers

A touching story from the Wen Chuan earthquake.

When rescuers found her, she was already dead, crushed by the collapsed house. Through gaps in the rubbles, they could see her posture. Kneeling on both knees, her entire upper body bent forward, held up by her two hands pressed against the ground, as if performing the ceremonial bow in an ancient ritual. Except, her body had been compressed out of shape and looked somewhat eerie. A rescuer extended his hand through a gap and confirmed her death. He called out to her, and tapped on the bricks with his shaft, but received no response. As the team walked toward next building, the squad leader suddenly turned back, yelling as he ran, "Come quick!" He came to her remain, labored to maneuver his hand under her body, searching. He called out following some rummaging, "There's someone, a child, still alive." With some effort, rescuers carefully removed the debris burying her, found her child lying beneath her, bundled in a little red blanket decorated with yellow flower prints. He was about 3-4 months old. Shielded by his mother's body , he was totally unharmed, sleeping peacefully as he was brought out. His soundly asleep face warmed the hearts of all rescuers on the scene. As the rescue team's doctor unbundled the blanket to examine the baby, he discovered a mobile phone tucked into the blanket. He subconsciously looked at the display, found there was a SMS message.

"My Dear Baby, If you were to stay alive, you must remember that I love you."

No stranger to the pain and sorrow brought by death, the doctor nonetheless wept at this moment. The cell phone was passed around, every person who read the message wept.

Ruangan Lepas Geram

No matter how skinny women are, they still say they're fat. Is that mintapuji or just their insecurities? When I used to be much much skinny, I wished I was fleshier..now that I'm already fleshy (more on unwanted parts) I'm frantic on losing these fat. But then again I'm not over-obsessing myself..better enjoy good food n stay healthy than be rod thin again.
On the other hand..men..they always think they look so dashing and handsome, mcm sja petik sekali 10 yang datang..beriya-iya komen pasal pompuan but never look in the mirror..this is the universal case of older men chasing after mini skirts..mid-life crisis? The chain reaction is more insecure women getting jabs on their faces, lipo, nips n tucks..how they are so prepared to endure pain just to make themselves beautiful in their partner's eyes. This is an epidemic.
